Grossmont came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Monte Vista Monarchs as they made off with a 56-33 victory. The Foothillers pushed the score to 56-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Monarchs cut but never quite recovered from.

Grossmont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Corbin Dow, who rushed for 238 yards and one score while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Those 238 rushing yards gave Dow a new career-high. Another passer making a difference was Tyler Holmes, who threw for 245 yards and four TDs.

Grossmont didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Kaiden Ong led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by himself. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Grossmont's record is now 9-1. As for Monte Vista, they dropped their record down to 5-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Grossmont nor the Monarchs have any future games scheduled.
