Baseball Game Preview: Hill Country Christian Rams vs. St. Paul Cardinals

Hill Country Christian is 0-6 against St. Paul since April of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Hill Country Christian Rams will host the St. Paul Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Hill Country Christian has given up an average of 14.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Hill Country Christian is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 20-0 to Bracken Christian. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, St. Paul was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bracken Christian.

Chris Peters made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Peters, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hill Country Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Hill Country Christian suffered a grim 9-3 defeat to St. Paul when the teams last played back in April of 2019. Can Hill Country Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
