Basketball Game Preview: Tatum Coyotes vs. Texico Wolverines

The Tatum Coyotes will square off against the Texico Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Tatum knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Texico likes a good challenge.

Tatum will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Texico, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Tatum took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 66-33 victory over Texico. The Coyotes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Tatum is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points over those games. Texico's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 17-8.
