Soccer Game Preview: Perryton vs. Borger

The Perryton Rangers are taking a road trip to take on the Borger Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Perryton is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Perryton's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Hereford with a sharp 8-0 victory. Considering the Rangers have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Borger sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Canyon on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Noah Dimmitt and Justin Aguilar scored both of Borger's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Perryton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matchups. As for Borger, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Perryton came out on top in a nail-biter against Borger in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Perryton since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
