Volleyball Recap: Arrupe Jesuit Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Arrupe Jesuit had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Stargate School Eagles. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Arrupe Jesuit took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-5, 25-15.

Daphne Castillo paced Arrupe Jesuit's offense, picking up three kills. Castillo got some help from Monse Perea and her three assists. Castillo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Arrupe Jesuit has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against The Academy on the 26th. As for Stargate School, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Brush on the 23rd.
