Central Crossing won the last time they faced Franklin Heights and things went their way on Saturday too. The Comets put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 14-2 victory. The Comets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Holden Neff and Preston Carter did most of the damage at the plate: Neff went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Carter got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Carter a new career-high. Kyle Richardson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Central Crossing's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10-1. As for Franklin Heights, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Central Crossing beat the Falcons by a score of 9-1 later that day.
