Baseball Recap: Leslie County Takes a Loss

Leslie County's last matchup with Clay County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 8-0 to the Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Leslie County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan Simpson, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Leslie County's record is now 4-18. As for Clay County, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leslie County will take on Lee County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Clay County, they will square off against Rockcastle County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
