            The Overton Wolverines didn't have quite enough to beat the Whitehaven Tigers on Wednesday and fell  5-4. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

  Marquel Brooks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  double. He has been hot, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last five times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Julian Tallent, who  went 2-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run.
Overton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6-1. As for Whitehaven, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5-1 record  this season.
 Overton will be playing at home against Sheffield  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Wolverines are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on  an  eight-game losing streak. As for Whitehaven, they will head out to  square off against First Assembly Christian  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Tigers will also cruise into their next  game with the timing on their side: the Crusaders will have lost three straight heading into Friday's  contest.
