Longmeadow has gone  a perfect 6-0 against Holyoke recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Monday. The Lancers will head out on the road to  face off against  the Purple Knights  at 12:00  p.m. Longmeadow has given up an average of 7.6  runs per game this season, but Monday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Longmeadow will roll into the  contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two  runs  on Monday, then bounced right back against Monson  on Wednesday. Holyoke came out on top against Sabis International  on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Purple Knights narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past the Bulldogs  8-6. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Purple Knights as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
 Holyoke saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kylie Blaha, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run. Blaha is  crushing it when it comes to  stolen bases: she's   snagged at least one every time she's  taken the field this season.  Alanna Bonilla also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
 Longmeadow now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Holyoke, their  win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.
 Longmeadow took their  victory against Holyoke  when the teams last played  back in May of 2024 by a conclusive  12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
