Basketball Game Preview: Springville Orioles vs. Newell-Fonda Mustangs

The Springville Orioles will head out to face off against the Newell-Fonda Mustangs at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Springville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup last Wednesday. They blew past Sigourney 65-44. The win was familiar territory for the Orioles, who have now won nine games in a row.

Meanwhile, Newell-Fonda waltzed into their matchup last Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 71-40 victory over the Crusaders.

Newell-Fonda's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Springville, their victory bumped their record up to 20-4.

Springville took a serious blow against Newell-Fonda in their previous matchup back in February of 2019, falling 69-39. Can Springville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
