Baseball Recap: Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School Gets the Win

Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School hadn't done well against Triton Regional recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Hawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings, sneaking past 2-1. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by just one run.

Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-9. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Triton Regional, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School will host Lynnfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pioneers will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Triton Regional, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Middlesex Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
