Softball Recap: Madison Southern Takes a Loss

Madison Southern couldn't beat Franklin County on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Eagles lost 14-6 to the Flyers. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Flyers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Lexie Keener was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Madison Southern's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Franklin County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison Southern will challenge Pulaski County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin County, they will head out to challenge Great Crossing at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin County will need to watch out since Great Crossing has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
