Softball Recap: Pahranagat Valley Has No Trouble Against Round Mountain

Pahranagat Valley lost to Round Mountain on Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Pahranagat Valley put the hurt on Round Mountain with a sharp 11-5 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.

Hadee Walch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alivia Walch, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Cami Cannon was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Pahranagat Valley's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Round Mountain, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pahranagat Valley will square off against Indian Springs at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Pahranagat Valley is facing Indian Springs at the right time seeing as Indian Springs is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Round Mountain, they will head out on the road to face off against Sandy Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
