Basketball Recap: Van Meter Gets the Win

Van Meter's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past the Woodward-Granger Hawks with a 50-44 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won five in a row.

Van Meter's record now sits at 13-6. As for Woodward-Granger, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Van Meter will venture away from home to face off against Roland-Story at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodward-Granger, they are taking a road trip to square off against Martensdale-St. Mary's on Monday. Martensdale-St. Mary's will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Woodward-Granger surely won't give up without a fight.
