Softball Recap: University Takes a Loss

University lost to Freedom back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Patriots, falling 12-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Freedom, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. University will head out to take on Evans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Freedom, they will venture away from home to face off against Lake Buena Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vipers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.2 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
