Volleyball Game Preview: Dixie County Bears vs. Fort White Indians + Official Tickets

Dixie County has gone 7-1 against Fort White recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bears will welcome the Indians at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Dixie County turned things around against Bronson on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Bears not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0).

Dixie County was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Riley Whitaker, who had 19 assists and six digs. That's the most assists she has posted over her last six matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaicee Brown, who had 27 digs and three aces.

Meanwhile, Fort White got the win against Hawthorne on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Fort White not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hawthorne between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-19.

Dixie County's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Fort White, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Dixie County took their win against Fort White when the teams last played back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
