Softball Recap: Dayton Greendevils vs. Villa Madonna Vikings

After flying high against Bellevue last Wednesday, Dayton came back down to earth. The Dayton Greendevils took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Villa Madonna Vikings on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Dayton has scored all season.

Dayton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Boyers, who went 2-for-2 with a stolen base.

On Villa Madonna's side, Cam Kratzer made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Kratzer was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with a stolen base.
