Softball Recap: North Raleigh Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Ravenscroft

After only one run in their last game, North Raleigh Christian Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Ravenscroft on Friday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Ravens. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

Taylor Gardner spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, North Raleigh Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Mercer Gill, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Gill has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Gibb, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

North Raleigh Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Ravenscroft, they dropped their record down to 3-12-1 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

As of now, neither North Raleigh Christian Academy nor the Ravens have any future games scheduled.
