Basketball Recap: Little Rock Southwest Takes a Loss

Little Rock Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 27th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Cabot Panthers, falling 56-24. While losing is never fun, the Gryphons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Panthers are ranked 90th).

Little Rock Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Cabot, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-13.

Little Rock Southwest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 64-17 defeat against Jonesboro on the 24th. As for Cabot, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-15 loss against Bryant on the 24th.
