Softball Recap: James River Midlothian Comes Up Short

James River Midlothian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 20-8 to the Glen Allen Jaguars.

Georgia Swenck led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ryan DeVries, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

James River Midlothian's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Glen Allen, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, James River Midlothian will head out to face off against Clover Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glen Allen, they will host Cosby at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
