Softball Recap: North Fremont Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

North Fremont won the last time they faced West Jefferson and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Huskies blew past the Panthers 18-7. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Grace Heiner, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynnli Schultz, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

North Fremont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. They are 9-3 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

North Fremont's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for West Jefferson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Looking ahead, North Fremont will welcome Firth at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Jefferson, they will head out to square off against Teton at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Timberwolves will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
