Softball Recap: Madera South Comes Up Short

Madera South lost against Dos Palos back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Madera South Stallions lost 22-3 to the Dos Palos Broncos. The Stallions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madera South saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xochil Miranda, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles. The dominant performance gave Miranda a new career-high in hits. Anilee Larios was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI.

Madera South's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Dos Palos, their record now sits at 2-3.

Looking ahead, Madera South will be playing in front of their home fans against Firebaugh at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Madera South is facing Firebaugh at the right time seeing as Firebaugh is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Dos Palos, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-2 defeat against Tulare Union on the 20th.
