Baseball Game Preview: The Dalles Riverhawks vs. Junction City Tigers

The Dalles Riverhawks will take on the Junction City Tigers on Wednesday. The last three games The Dalles has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

The Dalles made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Molalla, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Riverhawks fell just short of the Indians by a score of 5-3 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Riverhawks have suffered since April 10th.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Junction City ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past North Bend 4-3. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Junction City's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Landon Van Hecke, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

The Dalles' defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Junction City, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
