Softball Recap: Providence Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Providence Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars.

Isabella Harbour was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Providence Christian Academy's record now sits at 2-4. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Providence Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Battle Ground Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The LIONS' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, they will face off against The Webb School at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
