Allatoona faced North Cobb in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Buccaneers had just enough and edged out the Warriors 2-1. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Allatoona had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-19, 25-20.

The victory got Allatoona back to even at 4-4. As for North Cobb, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Allatoona will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wheeler at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th. North Cobb will be paying especially close attention to the Buccaneers' match: after the Buccaneers faces off against the Wildcats, they'll take on North Cobb again at 6:30 p.m. on the 15th.
