Recap: DuVal Tigers vs. Wise Pumas
It was a good run, but the DuVal Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 66-47 bruising from Wise. DuVal has struggled against Wise recently, as their match on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wise to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexis Obase, who scored ten points. Cayden Hargrove was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
DuVal's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Wise, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
DuVal won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Parkdale at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Parkdale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Thursday. As for Wise, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Flowers at 7:15 p.m. on January 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Flowers is ranked 78th, while Wise is ranked 59th).
