Football Recap: Barnwell Comes Up Short

Barnwell and Clinton squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Barnwell had to settle for second. They were dealt a 35-6 loss at the hands of the Clinton Red Devils. The contest marked the Warhorses' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Tushawan Richardson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Clinton, rushing for 95 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, while also throwing for 38 yards and one touchdown. Richardson's longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. Rhett Gilliam was another key player, rushing for 58 yards and two touchdowns.

Barnwell's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-2. As for Clinton, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

As of now, neither Barnwell nor Clinton have any future games scheduled.
