While Choctawhatchee put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Navarre. The Indians took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over the Raiders. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Raiders are ranked 141st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Choctawhatchee to victory were Tamen Zabetakis and Carter Marracco. Zabetakis threw for 115 yards and a pair of touchdowns on perfect 8-for-8 passing, while Marracco rushed for 48 yards and two scores. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Marracco a new career-high.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Choctawhatchee proved: they limited Navarre to a paltry 0.6 yards per carry. The Indians' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.8.

Choctawhatchee's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.1 points over those games. As for Navarre, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Choctawhatchee will face off against Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Navarre, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mosley at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th.
