Volleyball Recap: Alta Comes Up Short

Alta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bountiful Redhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 22-25, 25-15.

Abby Evans paced Alta's offense, picking up seven kills. Evans got some help from Ava Morgan and her 16 assists. Catherine Brinkman controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Alta's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Bountiful, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Alta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Woods Cross on the 16th. As for Bountiful, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Viewmont on the 11th.
