Basketball Recap: Indian River Comes Up Short

Indian River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were dealt a 63-20 loss at the hands of the Woodbridge Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-24 back in December of 2024.

Indian River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Woodbridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Looking ahead, Indian River will be playing in front of their home fans against Sussex Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Indian River is facing Sussex Academy at the right time seeing as Sussex Academy is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Woodbridge, they are taking a road trip to square off against Middletown at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
