Football Recap: Camden's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Camden waltzed into their contest on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They claimed a resounding 41-0 win over the Eastside Tigers. Considering the Panthers have won six games by more than 27 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Camden's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Roman Duckett, who rushed for 85 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Another signal caller making a difference was Ahmad Jones, who threw for 105 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Camden was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 269 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Camden's defense and their ten sacks. It was truly a group effort as Haleem Muhammad, Kaseem Hall, and Jerome Foster picked up two apiece. Foster is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Zahir Andrews got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Camden's record now sits at 11-2. As for Eastside, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Coming up, Camden will square off against Shabazz at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Panthers 10.2, the Bulldogs 12.1) so any points scored will be well earned. Eastside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
