Baseball Game Preview: Travelers Rest Devildogs vs. Easley Green Wave

Travelers Rest hasn't had much luck against Easley recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Devildogs will host the Green Wave at 6:30 p.m. Travelers Rest has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Travelers Rest managed to slip by Greer the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Devildogs lost 13-3 to the Yellow Jackets on Friday.

Meanwhile, Easley had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Mavericks.

Cooper Sears was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Travelers Rest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Easley, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Travelers Rest couldn't quite finish off Easley in their previous meeting back in March and fell 6-4. Can the Devildogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
