Basketball Recap: Paducah Comes Up Short

Paducah was the 33-31 winner over Guthrie when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Paducah Dragons took a blow against the Guthrie Jaguars on Friday, falling 66-39. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1449th, while the Jaguars are ranked 656th).

Paducah is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18. As for Guthrie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Paducah will venture away from home to challenge Patton Springs at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Guthrie, they will welcome Spur at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
