Volleyball Recap: Salisbury Elk Lick Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Salisbury Elk Lick came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Southern Rams, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Elks in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Southern scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-20.

Salisbury Elk Lick's offense was headlined by Ava Hummel and Taylor Short, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Peyton Hotchkiss and her 15 assists. Hummel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Salisbury Elk Lick's loss dropped their record down to 8-13-2. As for Southern, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-9-1.

Coming up, Salisbury Elk Lick will venture away from home to take on Rockwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southern, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Allegany on the 15th.
