Soccer Game Preview: Cape Coral vs. Estero

The Cape Coral Seahawks and the Estero Wildcats will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Cape Coral's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Cape Coral lost 4-1 to Ida Baker on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 407th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 202nd).

Meanwhile, Estero entered their matchup against Barron Collier on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Estero came up short against Barron Collier, falling 4-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Wildcats were already down 4-0.

Cape Coral's loss dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Estero, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.
