Recap: Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers vs. Lincoln Prep Panthers
This season hasn't been kind to the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They were beaten by Lincoln Prep 59-26 on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jonesboro-Hodge has scored all season.
Lincoln Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devin Burton, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for Burton. Another player making a difference was Amarjae Young, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Jonesboro-Hodge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lincoln Prep, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Jonesboro-Hodge will be home for the holidays to greet Haynesville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln Prep won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Calvary Baptist Academy at 5:20 p.m. on December 13th. Calvary Baptist Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
