Volleyball Recap: Dodgeville Comes Up Short

Dodgeville was the 2-1 winner over East Troy when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dodgers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans on Saturday. The Dodgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anna Wellington paced Dodgeville's offense, picking up six kills. Wellington got some help from Kylee Stodola and her 11 assists. Finally, Marlie McGraw kept Dodgeville's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

East Troy can attribute much of their success to Madi Wojciuch, who had five digs and four aces. That's the most aces Wojciuch has posted over her last seven games.

Dodgeville's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for East Troy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-9.

Dodgeville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Brodhead on the 20th. As for East Troy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Kenosha Tremper on the 20th.
