Western Wayne hadn't done well against Blue Ridge recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Raiders. The Wildcats were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Raiders, so the Wildcats were just returning the favor.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24, 25-17.

Vincent Silon paced Western Wayne's offense, picking up 15 kills. Silon got some help from Theo Black and his 25 assists. Finally, John Pyatt kept Western Wayne's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Blue Ridge lost, don't look at Bryce Conklin. Despite the final result, he had 27 digs and two aces. Conklin is on a roll when it comes to aces, as he's now served two or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Western Wayne is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Blue Ridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
