Basketball Recap: Arlington Takes a Loss

Arlington has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took an 83-66 bruising from the Seattle Prep Panthers on Monday.

When it comes to explaining why Arlington lost, don't look at Leyton Martin. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists. Martin is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaid Hunter, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Arlington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Seattle Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Arlington has already played their next matchup, a 68-52 win against Mariner on the 21st. As for Seattle Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 88-61 victory against Nathan Hale on the 21st.
