Basketball Game Preview: Fayetteville Bulldogs vs. Battle Spartans

The Fayetteville Bulldogs will challenge the Battle Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Fayetteville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 66-53 win over Maumelle two weeks ago. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs who have now won three games in a row.

Meanwhile, Battle put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured an 85-79 W over Hickman.

Fayetteville better keep an eye on Keyion Cross. He was instrumental in Battle's win, going 8 of 14 on his way to 18 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Cross a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keshun Jackson, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

Fayetteville pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Battle, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
