Liverpool and West Genesee are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Liverpool is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Oswego with a sharp 16-8 victory on Tuesday. Liverpool's win was all the more impressive since the Bucs were averaging only 3.82 runs allowed on the season.

Meanwhile, West Genesee had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Northstars.

West Genesee's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Liverpool, their record now sits at 6-9.

Liverpool couldn't quite get it done against West Genesee when the teams last played on May 5th as they fell 6-1. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
