Basketball Game Preview: Boise City Wildcats vs. Walsh Eagles

The Boise City Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Walsh Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Boise City challenged Turpin on Monday. Boise City fell 54-42 to Turpin. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Walsh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Granada, falling 51-31.

Boise City will have to contain Averi Kunselman as she made an impact in Walsh's last game. She posted five points and eight boards. Kunselman is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.

Even though they lost, Walsh smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

Walsh's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Boise City, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Everything came up roses for Boise City against Walsh in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 80-17 win. In that matchup, Boise City amassed a halftime lead of 38-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
