Baseball Recap: Bethlehem Center Drops Highest Score of Season Against Sewickley Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bethlehem Center). They blew past Sewickley Academy 16-9 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Eli Wright was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Wright was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Bethlehem Center got a massive performance out of Santino Revi, who got on base in all six of his plate appearances with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Luke Amon, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

Bethlehem Center was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win was the third in a row for Bethlehem Center, bringing their record up to 8-11. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Sewickley Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

As of now, neither Bethlehem Center nor Sewickley Academy have any future games scheduled.
