Softball Recap: Moreno Valley Takes a Loss

After soaring to 29 runs the game before, Moreno Valley was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rancho Verde Mustangs, falling 12-1. The Vikings were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Moreno Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Rancho Verde, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Moreno Valley has already played their next match, a 9-5 victory against Lakeside on the 10th. As for Rancho Verde, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Perris on the 10th.
