Softball Recap: West Lincoln Rebels vs. Maiden Blue Devils

While West Lincoln put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Maiden. The West Lincoln Rebels had just enough and edged the Maiden Blue Devils out 1-0. The win was familiar territory for West Lincoln who now have three in a row.

The result came thanks to Gabrielle Wright's shutout, as she gave up just one hit and racked up seven Ks.

On Maiden's side, Raegan Rembert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one run (which was unearned) on six hits. Rembert has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in 14 consecutive pitching appearances.

West Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Maiden, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4.
