Veritas Collegiate Academy had won two straight games and Marcqell Freeman did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Oaktree Academy Grizzlies 91-45 thanks in part to Freeman, who almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 13 games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Talon Wray, who went 8-for-11 en route to 22 points and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Veritas Collegiate Academy's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-8. As for Oaktree Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
