Orange Grove lost against West Oso back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Orange Grove Bulldogs were beaten by the West Oso Bears 61-28. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1343rd, while the Bears are ranked 551st).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Oso to victory, but perhaps none more so than Athan Salazar, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Hernandez, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds.

Orange Grove has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for West Oso, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

Orange Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 42-37 loss against Zapata on the 13th. As for West Oso, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-42 victory against San Diego on the 14th.
