Basketball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 66-43 to the Port Allegany Gators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-33 back in January.

It was another big night for Jarrod Funk, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 15 rebounds for Port Allegany. The dominant performance gave Funk a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Isac Amell, who went 7 of 9 to rack up 14 points and six rebounds.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Port Allegany, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

As of now, neither Austin nor Port Allegany have any future games scheduled.
