North has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Carl Hayden Community Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carl Hayden Community took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on North, who comes in off a win.
North can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They claimed a resounding 79-37 win over Maryvale at home. Given North's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Maryvale is ranked 258th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Xxylina Flores led the charge by scoring 24 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Flores is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Saniyah Downing, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Carl Hayden Community, who are still winless after their 12th match. They were beaten by Maricopa 67-28 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Carl Hayden Community has suffered yet this season.
North is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Carl Hayden Community, they bumped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
