Football Recap: Squalicum Falls Despite Big Games from Ray Hoffmann and Ansen Asbjornsen + How To Watch

After flying high against Port Angeles last Saturday, Squalicum came back down to earth. The Storm came up short against the Sehome Mariners on Friday, falling 42-22. The Storm were not able to make up for their loss to the Mariners from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Squalicum's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ansen Asbjornsen, who picked up 70 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and Ray Hoffmann, who threw for 154 yards and one TD.

Squalicum's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Sehome, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Squalicum will head out to take on Bellingham at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sehome, they will venture away from home to challenge Archbishop Murphy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mariners will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
